I'm sure I'll always have some short temper issues, being a hyper person by nature. Sorry for the confusing description- you deicifered it just right, though! Do you think dropping the Wellbutrin for a while would be smart/safe? Would you suggest trying another med? I've read about these anticonvulsants, but the side effects look scary... Thanks again- I like to be armed with info when I meet with my doc - I only have 15 min with him!! :)
MissyM,
I wouldn't *drop* the Wellbutrin flat. You might start tapering down on it and leave your Adderall dose the same. If the WB is not really helping the depression that much and the Adderall could do it on its own then you will find out! I wouldn't consider an anticonvulsant (mood stabilizer) just yet. If you are taking say 150mg x2 WB a day-try 100mg x2 instead for a few weeks (take your time), and see what happens. If your depression doesn't worsen and your grouchiness starts lifting....then you have found the culprit. However, it may be helping you (the WB)*some* and you may find just a lower dose of it with your Adderall is all that needs to be changed.
