I also had an allergic reaction to wellbutrin.
About 5 years ago I took it and felt "alive again" on it. Then I got a weird black and blue rash on my legs, which the doctors said was an allergic reaction. I was so disappointed because I have been on the antidepressant rollercoaster for so long and finally- something that helps! My psychiatrist told me that if I tried it again I might not get the same reaction. A few months ago I decided to try it again, and then I got the hives, too. Nasty stuff. Now I am on prozac and celexa combo, which I just began a few days ago. Not sure about the weight gain aspects.. Good luck- Jodee
