I don't know about the resperdol, but I gained 70 pounds in 7 months on zyprexa - and in the short time since I have found this site, I have read many posts of similar horror stories of weight gain on zyprexa. While my pdoc pointed out that zyprexa can be miraculous at times in breaking a really bad cycle of depression and distorted thinking (and it did help me greatly in those regards), she very much admitted that weight gain was very typical and very much a problem with this particular med. So I am not surprised that you experienced such a side effect.
