For a lot of people, it takes time for your body to get used to klonopin. For myself, I'm so very sensitive to it that I can only handle a tiny dose- just a quarter of a .5mg tab once a day. This amount has useful mood stabilization and anti-anxiety effects- if I take any more, I get depressed and wiped out for 2 days.
Everybody is different! BUT, we all agree that drinking while on most of these meds, and klonopin specifically is (no slur intended) downright stupid. Hopefully you learned your lesson- but if drinking is an addictive problem for you, get help. Many of us (me, for one) tried to self-medicate with alcohol, only to have to face the reality that acohol itself is a depressant.
Good wishes,
Cece
> First day on klonopin yesterday. .5 mg twice a day, exhausted, too exhausted to even research why they prescribed this to me @ the hospital. Last night I had 3 beers (not a lot for me), got out of the car and fell asleep in the front yard i was so tired.

> I'm also on 40 mg prozac...any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. (i know i shouldn't be drinking on meds, that was a mistake, but is this exhaustion normal? how can i counteract it?)
