The side effect will definitely go a way after stopping medication. It may take a couple of months. MAybe you should have stayed at 20 mg.
I have been on 20 mg Celexa for over a year. I take Gingko Biloba (60 mg twice a day) and it reversed the sexual side effect problem. It has a very good track record but usually takes a couple of months to work. For some strange reason, and it's NOT a placebo effect, the Ginkgo worked for me the second day I took it.
Just a thought- Ginkgo plus 20 mg Celexa. Ask your doc because Ginkgo can be a problem if you have any sort of bleeding problems since it's an anticoagulant.
> My doctor/pusher (same thing) put me on 20 mg of Celexa / day for 1 month, then stepped it up to 40 mg / day... i took it for another 4 weeks before discontinuing it. I have been off of the stuff for a few weeks now due to a major depression-causing side effect: I cannot ejaculate without MUCH work. I've met this absolutely wonderful woman, she may well be THE one, except that she thinks that she doesn't excite me. She can't get me off, at all. This will likely break us up. Now, suddenly, I'm hearing all these stories about this "new" drug the FDA rushed to market. I can't talk to my doctor because he's completely unavailable right now, all he keeps saying anyway is, stay on the meds. It's so sad that the medical establishment is more concerned with whoring pharmaceuticals than with actually helping people. But that's for another thread.

> MY QUESTION HERE IS... Will my control of my orgasm, which I once knew like the back of my hand (I know, bad pun), EVER return to me? If so, when? Do the adverse sexual side effects go away when you stop taking the drug? And if so, how long does it take to occur? Please help me.
