I've also been edgy for the last few days. Looking for some light at the end of this horrible tunnel. I would like to get off of Paxil altogether but not in a big hurry and if my panic symtoms come back I would be willing to go back to the 20mg. per day if needed. Just would like to know what to expect for now. I've seen a lot of cold turkey stories and I don't want to go that route. LRC

I'm still having the brain zaps and wondered if you would still recommend the 10mg and 15mg alternating every other day? I hate to go backwards but realize that going backwards might help me go get forward. After 8 days, I can't wait to get off of this drug but know it's going to take some time for me. I feel for everyone trying to get off of Paxil and my symtoms aren't nearly as bad as a lot of other folks out there. Thank you Dr. Bob for this site. LRCHi--
the best results I've heard about with stopping paxil [least discomfort]came with using paxil elixir to step down.
The great thing is that you can decrease by 1 or 2 mgs [or mls -- doctor and pharmacist clearly necessary]a day.
I stopped taking paxil 30 mgs by decreasing 5 mgs a week, down to 5mgs and off with no discomfort.
Can your doc give you some help with this?
After 8 days should you increase a bit to get comfy? I really don't know.
Are there some posts that gave suggestions for managing the unpleasant symptoms? Or am I mis-remembering?
Others will have more suggestions I'm sure.
Best to you, and remember it will end.
