Going from 20 mg to 10 mg in my opinion is not gradual enough. I got horrendous migraines, shocks, etc. also going from 20 mg to 10 mg. I found when I weaned off very slowly, like 15 mg for a week and then alternated 15 mg with 10 mgs about 8 days, then took 10 mgs a week, then alternated with 5 mgs, etc. down the line to 5 mgs every 2nd or 3rd day; it was much better for me. That's the best way to do it in my opinion. You can always use a mild benzo of panic attacks as you are weaning down.

> I have been on 20 mg. of Paxil for about a year. I have been having an electrical shock feeling since cutting bact to 10 mg. 5 days ago. How long can I expect to have this feeling? I've also been edgy for the last few days. Looking for some light at the end of this horrible tunnel. I would like to get off of Paxil altogether but not in a big hurry and if my panic symtoms come back I would be willing to go back to the 20mg. per day if needed. Just would like to know what to expect for now. I've seen a lot of cold turkey stories and I don't want to go that route. LRC
