DeanParnate is the only drug I haven't been able to reach the max rec'd dose on. Strangely, for a drug that's supposed to be slightly energizing (I think it has amphetamine metabolites), anything above 25mg wld knock me cold. Literally. Maybe it says something about my messed-up brain chemistry. I persisted for 4 or 5 wks but nothing changed. Nardil wasn't nearly so sedating. However it was like being on an LSD come-down (whatever that is :)). I found that the side-effects of neither drug dissapated with time. (High-dose Moclobemide had almost no side-effects.)
However I guess it's a case of different strokes 4 different folks; MAOIs are excellent drugs for some people & the dietary restrictions are a small price to pay for yr mental well-being.
No real way of knowing if *yr* side-effects will subside...but if they get worse as you increase the dose, it may be worth considering an alternative MAOI. Just my opinion.
