I have been on zoloft for two and a half weeks. I had always had some degree of insomnia with it, but the past few nights have been sleepless. I was so desperate I even tried marijuana to get to sleep, but it didn't work, even though it usually does every time.

My psychiatrist prescribed some trazadone. I took the first 50mg last night. It took a few hours to kick in but I did fall asleep. I'm not sure whether it was because of the trazadone or because the zoloft-induced insomnia wore off on its own. But trazadone seems like a pretty good sedative. I was very tired in the morning, almost to the point of being intoxicated, but it wore off quickly like it did for you. Throughout today I felt like falling asleep, but it wasn't bothersome. I also had some cognitive difficulties today, but I'm guessing that's just my brain adjusting to the trazadone. No other side effects so far.

> I just started taking Trazodone 100 mg at night and now I am up to 150 mg at night. Does anyone have any side effects from it? I know it puts me to sleep within 10-15 min and I sleep great. I am a little groggy in the morning but get out of it fast.
