Sarah,
Ephedra, or ephedrine, has been in many cases thought to cause strokes. I wouldn't take my chances with it as a means to lose the weight.
SalArmy's right - Wellbutrin is an antidepressant which doesn't cause weight gain and in many cases causes weight LOSS. However, if your depression is really lifted by the Zoloft and it's not making you want to sleep all day or something like that, you may be responsive to SSRI type antidepressants and NOT to Wellbutrin, which is in it's own class.
If you are satisfied with Zoloft's effects on your depression, then stay away from carbohydrates and exercise your butt off (literally). If you don't have the energy to do that, maybe you should look for a change in your AD.
