Klonopin is known for its huge tolerance effect. I hape personally got to 6mg/day. The worst thing about klonopin is not getting on to whatever dose, but getting off it. It is extermely hard to taper.
Clinically, doses up to 20mg/day has been reported with no particular problems.

The bulk of my panic attacks occur at night- which is when the xanax is useful. I started out at 0.5mg tid three plus years ago, until arriving at this dose which keeps the panic attacks at bay unless I'm in an unusually stressful time, or in a dysphoric manic episode. Hope this helps- Judy
