I read a few posts here where people mentioned having taken benzos for as many as 20 years. I share your anxiety (no pun intended) about the drug pooping out, that is why I thought I would try buspar.....just as insurance, if you will.
I wish I could be more helpful.

Does anyone know how safe it is to take clonazepam in the long-term? I am not concerned about dependency, providing the drug keeps working. My biggest concern is having the drug poop out, and then being left with even worse anxiety than I have right now. Is tolerance a big problem with this drug if used to treat Generalized Anxiety Disorder?
