I didn't gain weight. The problem is, it makes you really hungry about 1/2 hour after you take it. But it also makes you really tired. I found I was so tired that I could choose to go to sleep rather than go to the kitchen to get something to eat. Even though I was starving I was so exhausted I could choose sleep. Just make sure you take it shortly before you are ready to go to sleep for the night.
