Ah Chris, beautifully said. I guess there are so many different things going on involving various neurotransmitters (epinephrine), hormones, psychological factors, etc. that there are no clear answers. There have been studies showing different levels of cortisol, human growth hormones, differing sizes of the right and left thalamus- it looks like everything that can be quantitated can be shown to be different than 'normal' is different. So who knows? I'm sure many of us would love that answer. Take care, Judy
