What's going on in the brain of Bipolars?

Posted by Kingfish on January 8, 2001, at 20:09:52

Does anyone know what happens when a person has bipolar disorder? I understand what is thought to happen when a person is depressed - neurotransmitters and all. What is happening when a person has a manic episode? Are Bipolars thought to be "wired" differently than unipolars?

Thanks!!
