Trazadone

I recently starting taking trazadone for anxiety and depression and am having trouble waking up after 5 or 6 hours of sleep with a pounding heart and insomnia. Also, it makes me feel numb all over and kind of intoxicated. Does anyone else have this problem? My doctor says to stay on it and these side effects should subside. What is your opinion
