Stopping Paxil and starting again

Hi - I was on Paxil 40mg for 3 years for Agoraphobia - worked wonderfully - I finally had a life. Decided to slowly go off it - but the panic attacks came back. When I went back onto it, it didn't seem to work as well. Has anyone else had this experience?
