Hi Joelle, Thanks for your message. I was going off, but had to go back on the meds because I
couldn't work and I need the money too much. I also read that it is better not to quit everything all at same time,
and I was going off vistaril and elavil too. I felt like I could sleep 24 hours a day.
I couldn't concentrate or think clear enough to even plan my day. Pure misery.I went back on all of them. My therapist said I shouldn't quit since I had been doing so well. I guess I got too
overconfident and thought I could make the change. I hate being on these meds forever. I am sort of back to normal in two days
back on, but I am still feeling some of the fatigue. Boots> Going off of Effexor was h__l for me! I had horrible withdrawal symptoms. They were:
> 1. nausea
> 2. headache
> 3. dizziness
> 4. mini-explosion feelings in my head
> 5. tiredness
>
> I am now back on Effexor XR 225 mg (not because of the withdrawal but because I had a relapse) but am hoping to switch to another antidepressant with less side effects and withdrawal symptoms.
