It is common in the medical community to want patients to not ask questions or be informed. "Take this pill, don't ask questions" The assumption is that medical knowlage is only for the few. If I am going to have a condition for the rest of my life and take meds it is only logical to read up. I have met with a docs who was not comfortable with my questions and knowlage. I told them that since I am paying and they don't seem to have the time or are not comfortable with me I will find someone else.
