I have abused many opiates (excluding heroin). Percocet is a rather nasty pill to get off of, especially when you have a supply. They are too damn tempting. So, here is how to stop -
Get rid of them. If you can't do it, throw away most of them and taper off on the remaining. Do not go to the doc and ask for more (besides, he will eventually stop giving them to you soon). You need to have some self control and try to understand how these little pills work in your head. They mimic the brains natural pain killers. Your brain starts to think it is producing too much natural pain killer and slows down or stops the release of these 'good' natural pain killers, thus leaving you in a rather pissy, grouchy mood when off the percs. The more you take, the harder it is to get off, but it really shouldn't be too hard at this stage. You will return back to normal after a few days of abstinence.
Last resort, tell your doc to stop prescribing them. Get rid of the supply and/or the supplier.
Good luck
