Topamax used for treatment of neck and back pains

I was in a car accident a couple of years ago and since then I have had chronic pains in my neck, back and left siatica. All tests show that the nerves are not pinched or any other abnormalties. So the neurologist just gave me samples of Topamax 15 mg. to start taking for muscular pain relief.

Has anyone used this medication for pain treatments? And if so, how was your experience on it?
