Hi Tom,

Those amount of side effects would be too many for me to tolerate. When I started Celexa, I mainly had ones like loss of appetite, nausea, etc. and they did subside over a few weeks.

I would probably reduce the dosage to 10 mg (with your doc's approval) and see if I tolerated that dose. If you do you can always increase back to 20 mg if you need it, but you may be real sensitive to the medication.

Unfortunately most docs believe that everyone will respond to a certain dosage and this is not always true. My system usually responds to much less and after trying meds for 10+ years I am the best person to judge that and my doctor supports me on this.

Also you say you have a mild depression. That's another reason to go with a lower dosage. The only reason I stuck with Celexa is that my dpression was pretty severe at the time and my doc encouraged me to tough it out. The GI symptoms eventually went away.

I'm still on Celexa, 20 mg, but also on Wellbutrin and Adderal.
