Topomax is a bit scary to me, because of the experience of affecting thinking, but I keep reading if you go really slowly on the dose, you may not have that problem. The other choice would be to change from nardil to parnate.

Shellie -

Sorry to hear the Provigil didn't help you on the second go-around.

Could you please send me your leftovers?

Seriously, it sounds like you've got some decent alternatives lined up to try. I'll keep my fingers cossed for you!

BTW, unless you have anxiety I assume you've tried Wellbutrin at some point, no? How about Selegiline? That was very energizing for me at doses a lot lower than those which are used for depression -- worlds apart from Nardil. (Of course, that stimulation was likely from the amphetamine produced by Selegiline, so maybe we can dismiss that option immediately).

One more thing...you WERE taking an AD at the same time as the Provigil, weren't you? This is a leap given that I'm still sketchy on the details of your situation, diagnoses, med history etc...but perhaps the fatigue is a symptom of your depression. And the recent study that made the rounds here showed Provigil to be effective in jump-starting AD's that werent't working. I don't think it would be an effective AD by itself. But adrafinil might.

Rick

P.S. Hey, at least we don't have to fight over who gets to be team captain!
