Paul--you're sort of in the same position I am. If I were you, I would go the augmentation route. Lacimictal (for seizures, but also used as an augmenting anti-depressant) worked really well for me, although you have to increase very very slowly to advoid a serious rash. Dr. Ivan Goldberg has a fair amount on it on his depression site. The only reason I stopped the lamictal was because of weight gain. But that is not a very common side effect (I think 17% or so gain weight)--so I was just unlucky. Otherwise, I had no side effects and it seemed to lift the depression after I reached the the therapeutic dose. You might ask your doctor about it. shellie
> I have been taking Nardil for about 8 years now. It has minimal results like Marplan before it. I was fine after the first month on Marplan... My agoraphobia and panic virtually dissapeared. Marplan pooped out. Doc switched to Nardil with no change in effects. It just took over for the discontinued Marplan. These days, Nardil is pooping out and panic is terrible. Where do I go from here? Please help someone.
