a well known side effect of tricyclic ADs, and Elavil is
one of the worst offenders. When I have taken Elavil over
the years, my pulse rate also has gone over 100.This has always upset me, but apparently it is not
particularly dangerous if you have no known heart problems
and are not elderly. Some doctors have offered me meds
like Inderal to slow the heart rate, but I never wanted
to go that route. No doctor ever thought the high pulse
rate was a source for great concern.I would say that your pulse rate is nothing to worry about
if you have a healthy heart and are not planning to be on
Elavil permanently.
