Greg, sounds like OCD handwashing to me. You might want to check out some OCD sites (e.g., www.ocfoundation.org) which describe OCD behavior. I have a friend who washes her hands constantly and worries about "germs." Unfortunately, I don't have that form (I'm the hoarder type...messy instead). OCD is more common than people think (2-15% of the population, according to current estimates I've been reading).
