Jacquie - I have seen the bruising with SSRIs a couple of times. Once with Prozac and the other time with Zoloft (I think). Prozac would not be a good idea because of its long half-life.

I don't think reboxetine is released in the U.S., yet, but I'm a Canuck, so what do I know. We don't even have mirtazapine(sp?) - Remeron. I do know that reboxetine is being used in a clinical trial at our University Hospital with some success. One of our pdocs hinted at some problem they were having with it (I was led to believe it was side effect related). It is a different drug from the, SRIs as it blocks norepinephrine reuptake (eg. probably good for depressed people who do not respond to the SRIs; ie have a noradrenergically-based depression). I have no clinical experience with it and know only what I have read on this board and in a couple of journal articles.

Why no go with the Wellbutrin?

Hope this helps - Cam
