> Bring on the stories!!! William:-)SSRI+SNRI combos are being used successfully. In Dr Bob's Tips there is mention of a patient who combined Prozac+Effexor due to insurance restrictions. The end result was excellent results with no side effects. Right here at this forum, a regular (Racer) was doing terribly with Effexor. But shortly after adding Prozac to it, she recovered dramatically and quickly. There have been other cases too. A very similar strategy--combining SSRI with tricyclics--has been used successfully for decades. My GPs favorite strategy is to add a norepinephrine tricyclic to an SSRI. He also combines Serzone with Zoloft or Celexa fairly often. But it doesn't mix well with Prozac. SSRIs+SNRIs are not uncommon or new.
