This probably has to do with Effexor (even the XR) moving thru your body in just a day. As to the actual cause, it is not known. Of course, don't miss a dose and you will not have a problem. If you need to stop Effexor, taper the dose and then finish off with a few doses of Prozac, which is long acting and will stop these problems.
