My new med and psy's funeral

Posted by Sef on March 5, 2000, at 21:44:44

Thank you all for your concern, it is great to know that people care.

I went to my pdoc appt feb 29th and my pdoc would not give me Revia (Naltrexone) he gave me neurontin 100mg 3XD instead. Despite the info I brought him from this web site he said he could find no literature on Revia and he believes I am having mood swings so neurontin would work better.

My Psychologist was cremated so there was no funeral, but there was a memorial service for him last Friday. I wanted to go...but freaked out at the thought of being around so many people, so I called the florist and sent a funeral basket instead.

I have been taking Neurontin since the 29th of Feb and for the past 3 days I have been very hungry. Does anyone know if Neurontin increases appetite????????
I hope it doesn't because I have been also fighting bulimia. I finally got it under control for the past year and I really don't want to fall back into it.

I don't feel comfortable around my pdoc, I get very nervous and flustered when I have to talk to him.

My insurance does not cover the other psychologist they have so they can't offer me the therapy.

Does anyone know if an M.D. can prescribe Naltrexone??? If they can, I'm thinking about just going to my M.D. for my meds since I don't like the pdoc. My M.D. has prescribed my prozac in the past.

I feel very lost without my Psychologist. God I miss him.
