pray or ask for prayers, if it will help... and...
just take care of yourself and be a lump, if need be.
My short prayer for roadkill (I live in the boonies, and see a lot of it) is "Blessed be, comfort thee, if need be." I know that "roadkill" may sound cold and awful to some, but...comfort thee. And so mote it be.
