Dear Racer,

Hang in there, sweetie. IMHO, horses are a lot smarter than many people - remember the patience when the horse was sure going around the fence was easier than going over?

I am so terribly sorry for your troubles. In my depths, I went through eleven docs....w/no insurance part of the time, so I can appreciate the sense of being dependent on . . . on incompetence? I also can appreciate the psych. scarring that happens after such abuse. It was the mid 90's when I finally escaped from the depression pit and I've just recently started seeing a family physician. It's almost more than I can do to keep a routine appt w/him (and he's terrific) because I was so scarred from being told I was the problem.

I found that writing everything down was a good reality check for me, because there were moments (too many of them)when I thought they were right.

There are good docs out there... stick to your guns.
