> I was prescribed an MAOI but am hesitant to start taking it becaise I am having dental work done in a week, specifically I'm having my wisdom teeth removed and getting a couple cavities filled. I'm pretty sure that the analgesics for dentistry, such as novocaine, are contraindicated with MAOIs, but is there any other way to provide pain relief?
Some use sodium penothol(truth syrum, laughing gas,) or other cousins like Brevotol. Two sources, America's Doctor and Doctor Tooth can give U more info. With laughing gas you can't drive yourself home, so take a friend or you might tell your mother all the drugs you did or the lovers you had! Your pharmacy can tell all interactions for you. Good luck!
