MAOIs and dental work

I was prescribed an MAOI but am hesitant to start taking it becaise I am having dental work done in a week, specifically I'm having my wisdom teeth removed and getting a couple cavities filled. I'm pretty sure that the analgesics for dentistry, such as novocaine, are contraindicated with MAOIs, but is there any other way to provide pain relief?
