> Amy, you have clearly been through hell, and I guess you are still suffering to a certain extent. I have been experiencing similar anxiety for the past 3 months, but not as severe. Close but not quite. Ironically, what set off the severe anxiety seemed to be going off of Ativan. I had taken it for years, and my doctor took me off of it cold turkey. I speculate that this is what exacerbated the anxiety problem, but I can't say for sure. I recently insisted on going back on it. The symptoms were out of control. I always had trouble with anxiety, but going off the Ativan just sent me into a more severe episode than I ever experienced. I am allowing myself only 1 pill a day because I don't want to get addicted again. What am I trying to say here? Well...I guess I think you should take Ativan with discretion and take the addiction potential seriously. I hope this is not alarming you, as the Ativan is helping, and I'm sure you want to continue with something that takes away those horrible symptoms. Just use it with great discretion. That's my humble opinion based on experience. Good luck.
