I've read bad things about Effexor, too, but when I tried it I had no side effects and no trouble stopping it, if I withdrew slowly. I've taken Serzone and the only thing I can say is that it didn't have any sexual side effects, whereas I have noticed them with the SSRIs such as Paxil, Prozac, etc. I wish I could, but I can't answer your other questions.
