Reminder - 3-consecutive thread guideline » fayeroe

In reply to Information on US Stimulus Bill......very long.., posted by fayeroe on February 16, 2009, at 12:01:30

Dr. Bob asks the following of us all:

"Please share this site with others by not starting more than 3 consecutive threads on the same board or posting more than 3 consecutive follow-ups in the same thread."

I believe this is the fifth consecutive thread.

I will state, just for "the record," that I don't personally agree the community needs this particular prohibition. But, Dr. Bob has decided to keep the rule in place for now. Since that's the reality, as a deputy I'll continue to remind posters of his wishes. This may or may not be because it has been reported. This may or may not be because a deputy happens to notice the number of threads. Of course, sometimes we don't notice.

Thanks.

To the administrator,
You wrote,[...I don't..agree (that) the community needs (the 3 consecutive thread rule)...]
I am unsurer as to what your rationale could be for posting that statement here. If you could clarify the following, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.
A. Could you list here any criteria that you think were those that formed your thinking that causes you to not agree that the commiunity needs the rule in question? If not, could you post here why not?

To the administrator,
You wrote,[...the number of threads..sometimes we don't notice...].
I am unsure as to how far reaching your statement could go in relation to {noticing} what is posted here. If you could clarify the following, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.
B. Would you be willing to have an open discussion with all members here to have dialog here concerning all of the notifications that I have posted reminders to the administration here as being outstanding by creating an email address to someone that could have the URLs to distribute to discussants if those could not be posted here due to rules made concerning posting URLs from this forum, links to sites outside of this forum, and links to articles coincerning historical paralles in relation to the Nazi era and links to articles that define anti_Semitism and what could lead a Jew to feel put down/accused? If so, then members could see the actual posts that I have posted notifications to the administration and the time lag as being outstanding. Also, members could get IMO a better understanding of the ongoing issues here that I am awaiting responses that are posted here and I think that could be good for the community. If you could not, could you post here why not?
