cold hands

My hands get really cold when I take my Adderall, but this only started when I began taking Lexapro for anxiety. Anybody else experience this?

When i first started having anxiety and depressinon symptoms my hands would be freezing all the time. I thought it was me and i would turn the heat up in my office to like 85 and it didnt help. I have been on lexapro for about 6 weeks now and it has pretty much gone away. Its a weird side effect but it goes away.

wow, thats interesting, I was attributing to the meds....but really it must not be the meds at all. I only experience physical symptoms of anxiety when I am on the stimulants, so usually I blame the Adderall or the Ritalin. Guess I need to give the Lexapro time to do its job.

I wonder if it's circulation problems from the way you could be breathing??

Whenever I have panic attacks, my hands get tingly and cold.

usually, when I'm in that state, I am hyperventilating without even knowing it.

Watch how you are breathing. Are you breathing so that your chest moves up and down OR so that your abdoment does?

If your chest breathing, you could be hyperventilating without realizing it and causing this sensation.

Try to keep an eye on breathing from the tummy. See if it helps.

Some of these meds will mess with you, while taking desipramine I'd be stripped down to my underwear sweating like a pig yet my hands were ice cold. Who knows?
