Wow- I'm so impressed. I love the blue glaze on the lying-down figure. It's so evocative.
you don't wan't any more gravity in the kneeling figure, because otherwise you'd lose the contrast and tension between the upward gaze and the heavy base.

good point about the contrast and tension (I like that)...I made the thing too thin with all the scraping, from the point of view of the front it looks awkward, but I did want it to look listless maybe, kind of frail, weak, tired - but it looks sort of distorted to me - from the front (and not in a good way)
