The days are cold and the nights are long.
Reality takes over, but fantasy still clouds the mind.Time does not erase
Time does not heal.Time only dulls the ache
that I feel.

The recognition is immediate
The smile broadens
The heart swells
The warmth and joy of your return fill me(((((Joan797)))))

And that is a blessing, isn't it.
It's something.
It's a beginning.

It would seem so yes.
However, I still see myself 10, 20, 30 years down the road feeling the same melancholy feelings of lost love and "what might have been"
Ho Hum,

Absolutely, I would agree with you. Unless you're able to change how you feel bout yourself, that's probably how you'll feel. As long as you're tied to the past, that's how you'll feel ... I think that's how it is, when your past isn't good .. it haunts you, it stalks you like an invisible shadow, always slightly behind and over your head a bit, a little silent cloud that only you, it seems, are affected by .. its malignant, festering mood spoiling everything that could have been. Until you learn somehow, through some act of grace, to penetrate the cloud, break it up, and make it evaporate with the force of the sun.
It's horrible, but you have to learn to be your own sun. I'm here with you, Joan. You'll be so strong, in the end. Just keep your truth, keep your truth and let go of the sadness.
This is the end of the thread.
