Absolutely, I would agree with you. Unless you're able to change how you feel bout yourself, that's probably how you'll feel. As long as you're tied to the past, that's how you'll feel ... I think that's how it is, when your past isn't good .. it haunts you, it stalks you like an invisible shadow, always slightly behind and over your head a bit, a little silent cloud that only you, it seems, are affected by .. its malignant, festering mood spoiling everything that could have been. Until you learn somehow, through some act of grace, to penetrate the cloud, break it up, and make it evaporate with the force of the sun.
It's horrible, but you have to learn to be your own sun. I'm here with you, Joan. You'll be so strong, in the end. Just keep your truth, keep your truth and let go of the sadness.
