Dream
As the sun rises, and as the sun sets
Another day, turns to nigh.
I realize that I’ve done nothing,
But watch the sun go by.
My day is over,
And what have I to show?
Nothing but a dream,
Of being more high then low.
But my heart does race,
As I think this delusion.
Of a perfect world,
With no confusion.
No War, No Famine
No Pain, or strife,
All that I ever hoped for,
Indeed the perfect life.
But then reality sets in,
And it’s all a bunch of dreams,
For it will never happen
The world is what it seems.
No Freedom, No Life,
Only anger and pain
What’s the purpose?
To go insane?

You poem was so wonderful. I really got pulled in and experienced my reality of what you were saying.
I think of our lives as they move so slowly through a day...
but really the exit is so quick and we can be out before we know it.
People are leaving in droves in Iraq...Palestine...Afganistan...
floating away in their spirit clothes...all white and filmy...the gossamer, the shimmer before the dawn.

i hope that you got my other post, but incase you didn't, i just thought that this was a great poem. it expresses how manie of us feel. i have also put poems up on this site, can you relate to anie of mine?

I think you are very talented -- this poem is striking in the feelings it conveys and I like the structure too! Sorry so short, just wanted to say I posted some links to Ivan just now on Soc, and in the forums search I did for him I came across a poetry site that has an Anger and Blues forum, so I thought I'd post it here. In reality it may not even be a very good one, I've never checked them out and wasn't specifically looking for poetry sites. With your gift, you probably know of much better! But here it is anyway, leading into the Anger and Blues page...
