What did you mean by T3's? (Trycyclics)? WHatever it means, what is it? and what are you being treated for?
Im in a bad situation right now where I am almost 25, and finally almost done with college. however, In order to finally finish my senior year, they want me to go back to work, the same job I almost quit several times but put up with for the money. Needless to say after being away from it so long the thought of going back is dreadful and I cannot do it. They only want me to go for 3 months, and then they will support the rest of my schooling, but I don't know if I can do that 3 months! If I could, I would have started it already to be done sooner, i.e. start school again sooner. Anything that can help me through those 3 months would be awesome.
(For anybody that's seen the movie Office Space, let me see that hypnotherapist)
The worst part about it I think is this is my first extended time away from work, so the only person that I know for sure knows the problem is medication is my boss. Everybody else (30 ) I have no clue about. So I'll constantly be talking to them wondering what they are thinking about me, if anything. That's the worst part.

I too dropped out of uni a few years ago. I'm mainly being treated for depression right now. T3(triiodothyronine) or Cytomel is a hormone that is thought/known to enhance noradrenergic neurotransmission, hypothetically by increasing rececptor sensitivity. Maybe they are being desensitized over time with the presence of antidepressants. At least, this is how I hope it could work.
I found out yesterday that T3 is not available here in the nordic but my pdoc said it can be imported with a license. I'm trying to build a strategy for recovering as fast as possible from relapses. But maybe one should be happy to recover at all. I don't know really./Mattias

Hi becksAYou've got to be ruthlessly selfish about this. You want to finish college and you will do anything to get there. Even go back to a job you don't like. Go back to work and show them how strong you are after all. What is the worst that can happen? You get fired... But at least you can say that you tried. And 'they' may well support you in your last stint at college even though you got fired from your 'job'. You have nothing to lose by going back to work. Do you really care about what others might be thinking of you? Naaahhh! People will most likely admire you for your single-mindedness. Get determined!

hey, that was probably one of the most inspiring messages....and you're right, if the only thing that is going to get me back to school which is what i truly enjoy, 3 months of something i detest is something i believe i can grit my teeth and go through the motions. im not worried about being fired. they are very forgiving about that. all i care about is my maniac boss and not knowing who knows what i'm going through and just hiding it with a nod and smile thinking im crazy in the back of their head...that's the part im most worried about.

If they know your 'background' they will more likely be respectful of your determination and your will to succeed. Don't worry about what people think... Worry about what they don't think and what you can do to get them thinking...

first of all, i imagine you are not returning to a healthy work environment and you should understand that zillions of people work in unhealthy environments and get numb in the process
so your dread is probably justified
i would suggest you read a lot of Dilbert, "The Trial" by Kafka and Catch 22.
I promise you will not feel alone if you read these.
Just remeber -- it's an unhealthy world filled with people who think they are "normal" -- you are ahead of the game in understanding your challengeshang in there
This is the end of the thread.
