I ran out about a week before I was able to refill. It was miserable. I cried at many things even females would not cry at.
When I was able to refill, I double-dosed and felt stable the next day (and since then).
Any other thoughts? Would appreciate all anwsers.

Since the ativan worked to stop it it was withdrawal from the ativan. How long and how much were and are you taking. Glad it's over with. Love Phillipa

> Thank You!Most definitely! I can tell you from experience as I've been taking Ativan for about 20 years. You can't just stop taking it, it must be a very gradual taper. How long had you been on it before you ran out?
When you've been taking a Benzo such as ativan for awhile and then you stop suddenly the benzo receptors in the brain are saying, "what the heck, where's that ativan". That's why you got almost immediate relief when you finally took some. The longer the person has taken the benzo, the worse will be the withdrawel once the drug is stopped. Some of the symptoms of withdrawel from benzos are: Nervousness, depression, headache, lack of energy, loss of appetite, perspiration, and muscle aches.Tyler

Thanks all! I've been using it for probably 20 to 25 years. Its primary purpose was to assist in countering panic attacks, but over the years, it evolved into a sleeping aid and now that is all I use it for.
