YES!!!There is life after effexxor. I have been effexor free for 2 1/2 weeks w/ NO headache's.
It took me 5 months to wean down from 300 mg a day down to 0. It took alot of prayer and belief in myself to get off this ugly "safe" drug. My only other means of treatment from the horrible migraine's that occurred because of the withdrawl effects of effexor was marijuana. Yup! It isn't evil or bad it is all natural and a gift from God! Worked for me so far as long as the migraine's stay away I will use this treatment and I support the legalization of marijuana!!

I agree. I was on a hand full of drugs to ease what a small puff of marajuanna could relieve.
Thats the only "drug" I have taken. It is a good antianxiety agent. We need some more anandamide based drugs.

Sativex is still a prescription drug. Right now in Canada it is only approved for MS patients.
Marijuana is being suppressed because it will cost the pharmaceutical company's millions if not billions. You can't put a trademark on a plant but you can on a derivitive of a plant.

You can't put a trademark on a plant but you can on a derivitive of a plant. You will find alot of people are negative against it because it is illegal or that it is still smoking. My response is alcohol used to be illegal to and is proven to be more dangerous and it kills more people everyday. How many people did marijuana kill last year??? 0 !!!
I have found the healthest way is to vaporize the herb. The most healthy way w/no smoke! The Volcano Vaporizer is the best out there.

I wonder if Sativex will be approved in Europe any time soon?
Nabilone, a synthetic cannabinoid, has been available in the UK for years- it's never been prescribed much though. Ever since ondansetron (Zofran) was introduced it's hardly been prescribed at all. It seems to cause frequent side effects. Vapourized marijuana is an interesting idea :-) Perhaps we should use it for the chemo patients instead of nabilone.

I am not sure if the compound you are reffering to is the anandamide mimicking compound of pot.
Exercise increases endogenious anadamaide, chocolate contains anandamide mimicking substances, as well as a substance that inhibits the breakdown of anandamide, marajuanna also contains anandamide mimicking substances.
Anandamide based drugs show profound antianxiety effects in animal models.
Exercise, chocolate and a little pot may well do better to scare away anxiety than does a valium.

I am just recently finding out that marijuana is a cure for depression not a depressant like the pharmacy companies want a gut to believe. And you are right an execellent anti anxiety method better than another prescription like valium.Mark

You are right, some people call it an antidepressant, some people call it a mood stabalizer. We know that it is very neuroprotective, some of its constiuents are being studied for alhimer's neuroprotection.
I went to the doctor cause I was anxious. I have been on over 60 medications in the last 5 years (mainly just one to counteract the SE of the other)
Its completete nonsence. If I had only smoked a little pot to take the edge off, then I wouldn't be the dystonic, hallucinating and brain dammaged mess that I am now.
Thanks a lot Lilly, Pfizer, GSK, Astrazenica, Wyeth, and forest. Thanks for runing my life.

Oh, and BTW, I've heard that Kava-Kava and pot can mix together well for a synergistic effect, with less of both.

Hi!
>Pure and no smoke.
I like the idea of no smoke- wouldn't want to irritate my lungs!
Kind regards,
