smoking pot. I am not much of a drinker, but I smoke a lot of dope. I also tend to miss time when I have been smoking. And I find that when I miss time I have been smoking. And during the missing time I find I have been up to other stuff as well.
It does disrupt my life.
I wish I could stop smoking pot...

Could you swap the smoking with a new hobby? A kind of, exchanging a hobby (pot) that is healthy for you with a hobby that is healthy for you (just as an example, photography).
I don't have a clue whether that would work, but my idea is that you are thinking a lot about smoking, and that doesn't make it easier to stop.
Would it be possible for you to for example not stop, but just restrict yourself to smoke only on special occasions, or only on saturday evening or something?
Often stopping with a bad behaviour (or something you see as a bad behaviour in yourself) is very difficult because it is woven into everything in your life. Espescially something like pot is often something you do while doing a lot of the things that you like (being social or reading, listening to music etc), an dthen doing those things without pot will mak eyou miss it.. then maybe trying an activity that you havent been smoking to might be an idea.
Just some thoughts... you know yourself best :-)

I, too, smoke pot daily and have been doing this for the last 20 years. Pot suits my temperament and really helps me to focus on my work (or studies, when I was in college).
Pot is the only thing that helps me sit still. It helps with my motivation and drive, which is wierd as it makes other people zombies.
Still, I wish I could quit or at least reduce my intake, as I know it is not great for my lungs. Stopping drinking (for me) is much easier.
I wonder if a change in my meds could compensate for what I would be losing if I stopped smoking.
I'm not sure I understand what you are saying when you say you "miss time" when high. Is that time goes fast-forward? For me, it is just the opposite, and I gain patience for mentally challenging activities.
Have you experienced this? Smoking pot daily helped me to focus on really boring subjects when I was getting my electrical engineering degree. I could take detailed notes, put things into my photographic memory, etc.
I think I understand _why_ I smoke, and am working to see what I can do to replace the hole in my life that would be created if/when I quit.
What is your motivation for smoking?

If you invest in a proper vaporizer you will save your lungs great trouble. Buy one with hot plate, they are best.

I spot oil off tinfoil yeech.Why do I do it? Escape and a high. I love the high and I love the escape.
But it is hard to come back to reality sometimes.
