Ya know, I think everyone at some point gets fearful of death; it's the "unknown."

It's not as if we can talk to anyone who has been there and can tell us what the process is like.

But, I have found that being confident in the Lord and what His word says about death/dying (which He really does say a lot about it), has eased my fears.

If you know where you are going when you die, it gives you more of a hopeful outlook and anticipation of it.. instead of a fear of it.

:)

Some people think they dig a hole and throw your body in and throw dirt over it . And that's it. Fondly, Phillipa

Have you seen those depictions of the afterlife where there's curbing? I just don't want to end up there, with the lawns and odd animals (lions, deer) and children in suburbia.

Since my depression started again at 35 (5 years ago) I don't fear death as I used to. I believe that once this depression has been obliterated I'll start to fear death again in a healthy way.

I'm 46..Have been depressed for 15 yrs...Have tried some meds but none have helped my thoughts of dying or the murderous dreams I have..I pray for death as its got to be better than living through this lifetime suffering with a very flawed thought system..A recent anthroposophic MD told me I have a "flawed vehicle"..Well then, how can you enjoy things living your thoughts through a "flawed vehicle?..you can't..we take meds to try and ease the flaw but it never goes away..The soul is ok, its the brain it has to connect with that never gives us what we need to live peacefully..The soul gets shortchanged..So we pump it full of meds to try and get by..were just slowing the enevitable, which is our eventual longing for death..Depression is the worst..I say bring on death and take me out of my "flawed vehicle"..I have no fear..
