Wildcard I never had to take a test. The pdoc just applied for me. this is strange. Why hasn't he submitted the reasons and the paperwork? Too strange. Love Jan

Are you in the US and are these the tests required by Social security? If so, they send you to their own doctors for additional determination. It is part of the process I guess you could say. I am on SSDI, but I lost my initial time applying (most people do) and it took three years before I got to go to court for my hearing. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope it all goes well. Such red tape sometimes you have to go through.

All I can offer is support. I'm not sure why in your particular case they are requiring two separate visits. My doc submitted the paperwork, and the hospitals theirs, etc. And I was approved the first time. I really don't know what to say.
I wish you well, and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Is one to a medical doctor and one to someone doing psychological testing? You ought to be able to tell what kind of provider it is from the address/name on the paperwork.

I used to do the psych testing part of disability assessments. The required tests vary by states, but in my state, we did an IQ test (the Wecshler Adult Intelligence Scales or WAIS), a memory test (Wecshler Memory Scales or WMS) and a reading test (Nelson-Denny). It's a bit grueling. For adults it can take up to 3 hours. One of the most important thing I observed and recorded was the person's test-taking attitude. If they appeared to be just blowing it off and not trying, that would go on the form. I don't know how the psychologist interpreted that in terms of a BDD report, but it always made the test process less than tolerable for both the tester and the testee.

I have no idea about the medical portion of it. Babblemail me if you have any specific questions.

Hope it goes well.
