Well, I'm shortly going to be off to bed, and will be heading off to work early tomorrow (I can't access PB from work at my new job) as we're going away for christmas straight from work..
After visiting my brothers Friday night / Saturday morning, we're escaping to a friends cottage in North Norfolk to spend christmas with her and her husband.. Christmas day is being spent at the local pub, to have dinner with their friends in the village.. a real feast and all organic local produce (I am terribly excited about the cheese board *g*).. followed by a bonfire on the village green.
Boxing day will be spent walking along the cold, blowy coast, and eating fresh sea food..I can hardly wait *grins* I haven't been this excited about a christmas for years, and am ready an earlier than I thought I would be (and so panicking I have forgotten something major *L*)
have wonderful yules all.. I wish you all peace and happiness..
*hugs for those that want them, and firm handshakes for those that would rather than them*
Merry Christmas Psycho Babblers

I am attempting to make Stickey Toffee Pudding this year, as part of an English Christmas dinner. I haven't been able to find crackers at any of our shops so I'll just have to describe them to my dinner guests.
Have a lovely time.

You should have told me (about both!!)
a) I could have easily posted you a box of crackers.. there are some lovely ones about at the moment - or even better, make your own cracker sets!! *g*
b) I have some recipes for dead easy sticky toffee pudding.. I can make one flat in 20 minutes! Its serious PMT food *giggles*
Hope it was wonderful.. *g* Mine has been PERFECT! Actually, more than perfect.. I wish I hadn't had to come home

The pudding was seriously an instant favourite. And... I made it twice. The first time to see if I could make it properly, and taste test it (of course!), and the second time with the toffee sauce poured on. Yum, yum. I couldn't believe how easy it was.
And because I live in the South, they sell self-rising flour so I didn't have to fiddle with the recipe.p.s. I tried to tell people about Christmas crackers but they seemed to not really care too much so I gave up. They don't know how many bad jokes they are missing out on!
hugs
