Hi Lexy,
Whew. Packing can be exhausting. Don't you look at all the boxes and wonder how you acquired so much stuff? I'm really excited for you, you're graduating soon and heading home to a loving family...not to mention a wonderful boyfriend! Having that support system will go a long way towards helping you beat your depression.
I've had a pretty positive experience with Wellbutrin. The initial adjustment period isn't bad at all. And the good news is, if you don't like it you can stop at any time without experiencing withdrawl.
Definately start at a low dose, I recommed 100 mgs. It's really helped with my mood and somewhat with my energy level. I can get out of bed after about 10 minutes now. Before the Wellbutrin it took me 30 minutes to wake up...and about an hour before I felt like functioning.
I haven't lost any weight on Wellbutrin, but a lot of people do. But I haven't gained any weight either. :)
I hope this helps.
K.

I struggled with the cyprimal for the first 4 or 5 weeks. Horrible side effects, constant nausea, dizziness, headaches, anxiety of note!! One of my problems is major anxiety problems, so that was pretty difficult. I also suffered with lethargy. I still struggle to get out of bed on weekends. All I want to do is sleep which is quite frustrating for my boyfriend. I am really hoping that will pass because it feels like such a waste sleeping my weekends away. I am carrying quite a lot of weight so I really need to get some exercise, but I just don't seem to have the energy. I'm hoping that will increase as well.
The embarrasment about drinking is probably just paranoia. You're absolutely right, everyone else was also pretty tanked, but I always feel guilt and anxiety about losing complete control of my tongue and getting a bit wobbly on my feet.
My own insecurities playing with my mind again.
But the depression after a heavy night is too much for me to handle at this point in time. I've starting cooking and reading again. Which are things that I used to really love and just lost interest in. Doing those things make me feel good again which is a step in the right direction.
I will stay close to my friends, but only the ones that aren't into the drinking scene. I have a very good support structure and I wouldn't want to lose that, or shut my friends out.
I am having a pretty good day today, finally managed to get some sleep last night.I hope that you are feeling good today!
Thanks Mag.
> first off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! it seems its the season for birthdays i have a ton of them comming up. Do you mind me asking why you feel so embaressed about drinking too much at your birthday? did you do something tottaly out of character? i have mostly observed that in those cases its not as bad as you think, everyone else around you is just as intoxicated if not more than you are so events will seem vauge and fuzzy. I'd say dont worry too much about it, plus it was your birthday you are allowed to kick back and relax. I have dont some tottaly embaressing things while drunk but i just said well next time i am going to NOT drink as much cause the worst things i ever do while drunk is like pass out in the girls washroom then have bouncers from the club have to carry me outside and find who i belong to...lol...that was bad, but i survived, that was my 20th b-day i think too. haha. we all do dumb things once in a while we are human its ok, dont worry people are too busy worrying about themselves to alalyze what you were doing.
>
> I think it is a good idea to rediscover yourself again, as i am doing that very thing myself, my friend just let me borrow her paints cause in highschool i loved to paint, and play my guitar and go hiking andgo dancing ( i havent done that since summer). so it is good to do those things, but it is also good to keep those you love close too, you dont have to go drinking, maybe go see a movie? or sit together and watch a fav. show? whatever it is you like to do but sometimes its just as good with a friend.
>
> Good luck to you, i myslelf am still battaling getting used to this medication, all i want to do is sleep all day and its pretty unmotavating.

im glad to hear you are doing ok today. My probelm is major anxiety too the depression is kinda right along side of it though, i think its due to the fact that i dont feel like myself. I read too, its relaxing and well depending on what you read it can be exciting too! Im a big Anne Rice fan but im not limited to just that, i sleep all the time too...i cant help it like 10 hours min..and it is fustrating, im gonna ask my p-doc about it on my next appointment. i hope it wears off cause it takes me over!
i drank for the first time since my increase last friday and let me tell you the headache i woke up with the next day..:S..horrible. sigh, well maybe its for the best cause before i started these meds i would drink almost everyday, i guess its how i self medicated the anxiety, as you probabbly know while drinking the anxiety is almost non-existant!
hope you continue to do well, keep in touch!
(hug)

Hey Ya'll.
Today was my last day of work. It was very bittersweet because the only thing I like about being up here is my job and the people work with. They thew me a party where I ate way too much pizza...There goes the 3lbs that I lost. Well I hope everyone is having a good day. I am so so so so excited about going home. I am still packing and it is impossible. Oh well, I am doing it gladly, I just wish it were not pouring rain here!!!! Well God Bless you all!

Ive got a exam tomorrow and a thesis fair on Friday then I am leaving town, going home where I belong!!!! Have a great day, see ya later. Oh for everyone, I go to my Pdoc on May 3rd, be thinking of any questions you may have that you would like me to ask.

Awww...I just realized that I am not technically a Yo-Yo Sista either. Can I just be that weird old woman in the big floppy hat, Hawaiian print mu-mu, support hose rolled down below the knees, and Dr. Scholl's shoes who walks around muttering to herself something that nobody can really understand, that keeps turning up at the family reunion year after year and nobody really knows who she is but everybody is afraid to ask her just in case she may actually be related to them and then they would have to get DNA testing done to make sure that their children have a ghost of a chance of living a normal life??? Please??? I will sing with Mystic.
